This month we’re catching up with Lorien Maxwell, Manager of Sales and Customer Success at ContractWorks. With almost 15 years of experience in sales and customer service, Lorien plays a critical role helping ContractWorks clients find the solutions they need to reach their contract management goals.
Getting to Know Lorien
How long have you been at SecureDocs, Inc.*?
What were you doing prior to joining ContractWorks?
I worked as an inside sales rep at a software company called AppFolio.
What do you love about what you do?
I love the people that we get to interact with, both my internal team (Engineers, Marketing, SDR’s, Implementation etc.) and also our external clients. It is great to learn about how all aspects of the business work together to make a great experience for our customers. Also, I love speaking to our clients about their companies and how we can help. It is great when you know we can help solve a business challenge for them and make their lives easier.
Why do you think what you do is important to the overall goals of ContractWorks?
All departments at a company are so important and each serves its purpose to help clients and solve business problems, from Engineering building a great product to Marketing being able to effectively communicate what we do and how we can help. Sales and Support is important because we get to be on the front lines. I get to learn every day about our clients' business needs and demonstrate how we can help. The support you give to your clients differentiates you from other companies and I love getting to be a part of that and helping with the overall growth of the company.
What excites you most about the future of the company?
Watching the growth and how the product evolves by listening to our customers.
What is your favorite quote?

What are you doing when you’re not in the office?
Being a mom to three young kids, working out, watching my kids play sports, and enjoying time on the water (rivers, oceans, or lakes!).
