Meet Curtis Worden, Sales Development Representative at ContractWorks

This month we’re catching up with Curtis Worden, a Sales Development Representative at ContractWorks CLM. With previous experience in sales and teaching abroad, Curtis brings a unique skillset to the ContractWorks team.

How long have you been at SecureDocs, Inc.*?

I have been at SecureDocs for about 7 months.

What were you doing prior to joining ContractWorks?

Before joining the team, I worked in sales for a year and then taught English to elementary through high school students in Spain. When I moved back to Santa Barbara, cloud technology was on the rise and I knew that was a good area to get into. 

What do you love about what you do?

I love learning new things. Our diverse target market enables me to research and interact with businesses of all types, from all industries. It’s common for a sales person to only interact with one type of industry, but my job is different. ContractWorks is applicable to all industries because every company needs to store and track contracts. This creates an impossible challenge to be an expert in every industry, but I thoroughly enjoy striving for that. The team at ContractWorks is also very approachable and I feel like I’m encouraged to be myself and to be unique. This creates a team atmosphere that I enjoy being a part of.

Why do you think what you do is important to the overall goals of ContractWorks?

Over the past several years, many companies have adopted ContractWorks and even more companies will continue to do so in the future. I help to speed up this process. I’m on the front lines helping to achieve our goal of growth as a company. 

What excites you most about the future of the company?

It feels like we’re in the right place at the right time for cloud storage. The current environment is conducive for our company’s success due to the rise of digital documents, esignatures, and automatic alerts - everyone is making the migration to cloud storage. I’m excited about the state of technology and there’s a lot of interest in the services ContractWorks has to offer.

What are you doing when you're not in the office?

Sports & music have been prominent hobbies of mine throughout my life. I currently play bass in a wild americana band called “Left Hand Lions”.  Starting this fall, I will be assistant coach for the ultimate frisbee team at my alma mater, UC Santa Barbara.
