4 ContractWorks Product Updates You Need to Know

Company Updates

At ContractWorks, we are always on the lookout for ways to innovate and improve our contract lifecycle management software to provide our customers with the offering and features they need to provide value to their organizations. We do this by actively listening to the feedback of our customers as they use our product everyday and are deep in the trenches of the contract management field.

In recent months we have been busy rolling out some new features and updates that our customers have directly asked us for and we are excited to share these with you today.

ContractWorks Salesforce Integration:

ContractWorks now offers an integration on the Salesforce AppExchange.

Customers can easily send a document or contract from Salesforce directly to their contract repository in ContractWorks with a click of a button. Contracts can then be sent out for signature or completed contracts can be tagged and tracked to ensure milestone dates are met. No longer is there a need to switch programs to find a contract or document, saving time and maximizing productivity.

Single-Sign-On (SSO):

Single-Sign-On (SSO) is now available through our CLM software using the SAML 2.0 standard which integrates with identity providers such as Microsoft Active Directory, OneLogin, or Okta.

SSO allows customers to sign into one central program that securely authenticates their identity and then allows access to multiple business applications. Single-Sign-On provides easy, secure identity management for organizations as they can administer access to all company programs, including ContractWorks, through one account. Users can be added and removed easily and company-wide password policies can be enforced and maintained for all business applications enhancing security. Best of all, SSO removes the need for customers to remember and manage multiple passwords, eliminating wasted time on resetting passwords.

New Reporting Capabilities:

ContractWorks has launched an updated reporting interface with enhanced functionality, which helps customers to tightly monitor their contracts by providing more granular drill-down options to create custom reports focused on the contract details that matter the most. These enhancements include an updated user interface and more intuitive reporting filters, including text-based search. These updates allow customers to search through their contract repository to quickly and easily pull out the detailed information they need, saving time, and maximizing productivity.

Multi-Factor Authentication:

At ContractWorks security is a top priority which is why we now offer two multi-factor authentication sign-in options for customers.

These include SMS-authentication and the addition of an authentication app option.

The authentication app process involves first installing an authentication app such as Google Authenticator on any smartphone. Upon first set-up, ContractWorks will produce a QR code that is then scanned using the authentication app. The authentication app will produce a one-time six-digit verification code which the user must enter in addition to their username and password to login into ContractWorks. This process works securely as a secret key is passed between ContractWorks and the authentication app. A new one-time secret key is used each time the user logs in.

Using a multi-factor authentication process makes it more difficult for an outside party to gain access to a ContractWorks account by just having a username and password alone.

Additional Updates:

In addition to the updates shared above, ContractWorks has rolled out some other product improvements back in 2017, which customers are happily using today.

These include:

  1. A notification calendar displaying contract/document milestone alerts  (available to admins only)
  2. Archiving of entire rooms (available to admins only)
  3. Alphabetization of documents and folders
  4. Electronic signature feature (5 licenses per subscription)
  5. The option to copy tags from one document to another
