Summary
In ContractWorks, the folder structure serves two purposes:
- Organization of documents
- The basis for user permissions. Permission is granted on a folder level, so administrators will grant or restrict access for each available folder
The folder structure will vary by organization, but we do see some commonly used folder structures, listed at the end of this article.
Step 1: Go to the Documents repository within ContractWorks and click on the New Folder button
Step 2: In the line provided, enter in the name of the folder you would like to create. If you would like to create multiple folders at a time, press the enter or return key to create a new line item for entry
Step 3: Click Create Folder(s). The new folders will appear in the document repository, as well as within the folder structure bar to the left
Step 4: To create subfolders, first click into the parent level folder. Select New Folder and follow steps 1-2 above. The folder should then appear within the parent level folder. Continue doing this for all subfolders
